    BUSINESS | “Inspiring Women –A Female Entrepreneur Forum on Content Marketing” Blogs & Podcasts in 2020

    SCORE Ventura presents “Inspiring Women”, a Female Entrepreneur Forum on Content Marketing: Blogs and Podcasts. This FREE event will be held on February 26th. at the Camarillo Library, 4101 Los Posas Rd, Camarillo 91301.  Refreshments, resource fair, networking from 5:00pm to 6:00pm. Speakers from 6:00pm – 7:30pm. The female-focused event will include a professional panel, networking, Q&A, and light refreshments. Seats are limited.     PRESENTERS: 

    Dr. Rose Hayden-Smith, 

    Writer/editor, digital communications strategist and educator. After a successful career as an academic at the University of California, she opened Shine Communications. Shine provides a range of coaching, communications and copywriting services for individuals, businesses, nonprofits and educational institutions. An avid and well-known blogger, she is the founding editor of UC’s popular brand platform, the UC Food Observer. Her work has appeared in numerous online and print publications, including The Huffington Post, Civil Eats and KCET. She is active in the community, and currently serves as Education chair for the Ventura County chapter of the National Association of Women Business Owners (NAWBO-VC).

    Alyson Nagel, 

    Aly Nagel is a Writer, Wellness Educator, Digital Strategist and Founder of the Women Empowerment brand Don’t Call Me Pretty. She works to help give the tools to other women in order to better tell their stories digitally and in person. By promoting positive messages on her social media platforms, she is able to inspire more people to work on their healing from the inside out in order to love and appreciate themselves unconditionally. She’s passionate about avocado toast, traveling to new and exciting places and gender equality. 

    Veronica Kusmuk

    Host of Charting Her Course, a podcast by the Pacific Coast Business Times – produces monthly episodes talking to women who own and run small businesses on the Central Coast. She has been with the Business Times for over 9 years as a sales executive and through this has found so much inspiration in hearing women’s stories about how they started their own businesses that pivoting to this medium became a natural fit. She looks forward to sharing the things she has learned about how to start a podcast and sharing insights on what to consider.
