Camarillo, CA | Letters To Santa

Pleasant Valley Recreation & Park District is excited to announce the third annual Letters to Santa event. Local children are invited to embrace the holiday season excitement and write their special messages to the Jolly Old Elf. A giant red mailbox, created especially for Santa’s mail, will be placed outside of the District’s Administrative Office at the Community Center, located at 1605 E. Burnley St., Camarillo. Have your child write a letter, bring it to the Community Center, and pop it inside Santa’s very own mailbox. Be sure to bring your camera for this great holiday-themed photo opportunity.

Each letter will be opened, read, and thoughtfully replied to. Santa will write a letter back to each participant who includes their return mailing address on their letter. So, keep your eye on the mail for this magical letter to arrive to your home before Christmas. It’ll arrive via the United States Postal Service because the elves are rather busy this time of year.

District staff are pleased to help spread the joy of the season with this special activity. “Christmas is such a magical time of the year for children, and it is truly a joy to bring a little of that magic to the children in our community with this chance to write a letter to Santa,” says Connor Soudani, Recreation Coordinator at Pleasant Valley Recreation & Park District.

For full details on how to participate in this event, visit www.pvrpd.org/letters-to-santa. You’ll find a template to download and print, to write your letter to Santa on. Engage with the District on social media to share your photos, stories and comments using #PVRPDLettersToSanta.

Santa will also be making appearances at the Winter Wonderland of Wreaths event on November 20 at the Community Center auditorium and at Santa’s Village at the end of the Camarillo Christmas Parade route on December 11, if people want to hand their letters to him in-person.

Pleasant Valley Recreation & Park District founded in 1962, serves 70,000+ residents in the larger Camarillo area, maintaining 28 parks and a variety of recreation opportunities that enrich the lives of community members. Learn more at www.pvrpd.org.
