Camarillo, California – With the announced retirement of City Manager Dave Norman on April 3 and the appointment of Tully Clifford as Interim City Manager, the search for the next City Manager has begun.
The Camarillo City Council is asking the community what attributes they would like to be considered in developing the candidate profile for the City Manager recruitment. A community survey is available on the City’s website (www.cityofcamarillo.org, click “Community Survey”) through February 14, 2020.
The Camarillo City Council is hiring a professional recruiter to lead the recruitment of the new City Manager. The first step is to develop a candidate profile. The City Council is requesting community input in developing the candidate profile by seeking resident input on the attributes that are most important in the candidate chosen for this very important community role. The responses received will be provided to the City Council and search firm as part of the hiring process.
A timeline for hiring has been established and is expected to culminate with the hiring of a new City Manager by July 1, 2020.
