Letter to the Editor By Phillip Molina
Good Oxnard People,
The City manager admits in the report to the City Council what he has been unable to do. He admits to have overspent, to have spent in excess of the amount the Council authorized in the Amazon Credit Cards he issued to 116 city staff, Staff “has spent $252,048 this fiscal year”, which exceeded the limits and the year isn’t done, so his solution is he wants more money.
But when I provided that oversight, when I found numerous times of overspending and I stopped it, my reward was to have the Mayor and Council follow that same city manager’s orders to intrude on my statutory duties and stop me from doing my job, the job you elected me to do.
Read for yourself what the city manager’s staff and CFO had to admit.
Now the bad boys and girl’s solution is to have the Mayor and Council give them a present by increasing the amount they can spend again without
any oversight by your elected City Treasurer. This is not a responsible government.

As long as the card holders are unionized, liberal, city employees who cares? It’s only taxpayers money, right?
