Seamus Bruner, author of a just-released major new non-fiction book on the growing nightmare of a Globalist future, will be here in Nassau County to talk about his work, on December 7 at 7 pm. Others can see him on TV or other events around the nation. He is Director of Research of the Government Accountability Institute (GAI). Mr. Bruner has worked for GAI President Peter Schweizer since 2011 and regards him, his father James Bruner and maternal grandfather Bob Schwarz as his mentors. We were fortunate enough to get him for an interview recently.
Bruner has done extensive research and his work has been featured in major publications like the New York Times, Wall Street Journal, Washington Post, Epoch Times and more, along with co-authoring and authoring works about government accountability. His newly released book: Controligarchs: Exposing the Billionaire Class, their Secret Deals, and the Globalist Plot to Dominate Your Life– see Amazon or other retailers, was the topic if this interview.
As his story goes, a tiny number of incredibly rich plutocrats, their minions and allies have more power than nominal nation-states and are bending them to their agenda with their overwhelming money and power to achieve total control over the world population, with the end game being worldwide corporate Fascism.
The interview questions:
Q1– Why this book and why now?
Mr. Bruner explained that “we are running out of time, the world is becoming more tightly controlled. You see the AI (Artificial Intelligence) revolution well underway” … the Controligarchs are exerting more and more control over everything from our energy to our information,” even promoting and getting into things like these transhumanist biotech health upgrades…There just doesn’t seem to be any way of stopping it and there is a general feeling of helplessness. The first step to fight back is arming yourself with the facts and with the truth. So that’s what the book aims to do.”
Along the way, we learned that the book was more than a two-year effort involving his research and writing along with his team of researchers, editors, fact-checkers, even several attorneys, along with Bruner’s literary agent and the publishing team at Penguin Random House. This is a professional, thorough, and well-funded effort and it reads like it, although not everyone will be happy that this was published.
Q2– What is the essence of its message and a few key points most important to you?
“You’re NOT going crazy, there IS an agenda. It’s an anti-populist agenda, in a lot of ways, it’s even an anti-human agenda. You see it with the big pushes in giving hormone replacement therapy to children. Things that are so shocking- it should shock every conscience- and the only reason that it doesn’t is because there’s a huge propaganda campaign. The general message (of the book, not the Agenda) is that you’re not crazy and there are things you can do to stop it.”
We went through his flow of logic that he developed:
- Who the Controligarchs are, their wealth, their power, mindset.
- Why they think they are able and entitled to run the world.
- Used “follow the money” techniques to learn who is doing what. This is very much a money-driven Agenda- money to implement it the form of programs, often with your own taxes/government-borrowed funds, sometimes akin to downright bribery, with a huge payoff for the Controligarchs and their minions/allies.
- “Mind Control” – sophisticated and overwhelming propaganda- used to bend people to their will. It is 24/7/365 in most media, entertainment, politics, in most areas of life.
- They have been putting the pieces together and are approaching the so-called “Great Reset” to largely implement their Agenda now.
- Their end game appears to resemble Communism, but not the storybook withering away of the state that Lenin and Marx dreamed about, but something more akin to China’s Fascistic hybrid of capitalism and communism termed “state-run capitalism,” a corporate/government de facto heavy-handed rule, but by a tiny elite minority of unelected billionaire oligarchs, or “Controligarchs”, as he calls them.
He described their approach several times to me in this interview as corporate/government control, staffed by unelected bureaucrats operating a technocracy, overseen by said Controligarchs, which he calls Fascism. He asserted that they are more powerful than Washington DC officials and that their reach is international. He says that the book is nonpartisan, “follows the money,” lets the facts and “the subjects’ own words and actions expose them.”
He regards David Rockefeller as the father of modern Controligarchs and cited this passage from his book below (in italics) as evidence of their mindset, which he described as:
“Some even believe we (the Rockefeller family) are part of a secret cabal working against the best interests of the United States, characterizing my family and me as ‘internationalists’ and of conspiring with others around the world to build a more integrated global political and economic structure – one world, if you will. If that’s the charge, I stand guilty, and I am proud of it.”
In the book he describes others with similar outlooks.
“The pandemic was a real wake-up call in how it was handled” The Controligarchs added trillions of dollars to their own net worth and the market capitalization of their companies while the middle and lower classes lost more than a trillion dollars. The Biden Administration mantra of “Build Back Better” was repeated almost verbatim in multiple other countries, suggesting a broad international effort. But approved by who, on whose authority? Unelected billionaires and bureaucrats.
These are not merely assertions; he’s got the receipts– just check out the references.
Q3- Would you say the book is a totally objective reporting piece or advocacy journalism?
“The book is nonpartisan, follows the money, lets the numbers speak for themselves, lets the facts and the subjects’ own words and actions expose them….We used that approach with the Clintons, the Bushes, the Obamas, Kushner. You decide. …. I’ve included many quotes. If the characters denied some connections, I reached out to all the characters and gave them an opportunity to tell their side of the story. As of right now, none has chosen to respond. …. They hope this will just go away.”
Q4- The picture you paint is dire. If true, is the situation recoverable? How? Can it be done peacefully? Within the current system or what would have to change to even make it possible? The very last section of writing- Epilogue, seems very lean, an afterthought when you realized that readers would be asking: now what? You say win elections- just how, when the election process is nearly lost to Controligarchs, as you mentioned?
“(chuckle) Can it be done peacefully? Well, I hope so. Nobody wants a civil war or armed revolution. I believe it’s 2024 or nothing. Their Agenda is five years away. maybe less. maybe one year away. … I do have a lot of hope, actually. The situation IS dire, absolutely. More and more people on all sides- both sides of the aisle are craving authenticity. They are outraged about things like– Bill Gates’ thought everybody was going to accept fake meat. The fake meats have totally flopped with consumers- nobody wants fake meat. I don’t think a lot of people are going to voluntarily eat insects, either. They’ll call these something else. Most people don’t even read the ingredients. Someone may post something like look how cool AI is. But then you’ll see responses with emojis and concerns like this is creepy, this is weird.”
“It starts with educating those who think this is all crazy conspiracy theories.”
“I believe there are steps Congress can take. The book does advocate more personal responsibility. We need to wake up – wake others up- to what’s going on with the elite forces shaping government policy. But that’s all just in the epilogue (only 4 pages).” When asked if he would do a book on what to do about it, he said maybe and then reiterated some stuff from the Epilogue (pp 265-268). He placed great emphasis on taking an active role in the community and developing the minds of the children, something the Controligarchs have placed a great deal of emphasis on.
“Whether I do a book on that or leave it up to someone else, I just want to get the facts in their hands. I don’t want to waste peoples’ time with my opinions of what they should do.”
I challenged his first recommendation to address the problems via voting, citing extensive evident electoral corruption with very little judicial corrective action. “It doesn’t cost you anything, so you have to vote, you have to volunteer for candidates you believe in. There are so many bad politicians. It’s a shame to see good people lose elections. We can’t lose faith. Trust me, I know our elections are probably rotten to the core, but what else are you going to do? 2016 showed that you can flip the script, you can make a change. You have to outvote the cheating.”
I asked if we had the tools and organizations to address these problems. “Well we have the parallel economy (which CBDC’s may be used to fight). Things like Rumble (alternative to You Tube video sharing service). I’m skeptical of Elon Musk and so are many on the left and right. But I must applaud him for what he’s done with Twitter to improve freedom of speech, but it’s not perfect, but he’s absolutely putting his thumb on the scales of free speech. There’s more. As of right now, we do have the tools to wake everybody up. If you’re following these things, you can share them- my writings and others – spread them widely.”
“During the pandemic ‘do not comply’ was a call to action to resist the tyrannical mandates of lockdowns, masks, mandatory vaccines, etc., which turned out to be counterproductive”
“The Controligarchs don’t really want to ‘decouple’ from China. They want to be more like China and we’re getting more like China every day, with the censorship, the lockdowns.”
Q5- Could they do any of this without what you described in the Mind Control chapter? Is that the key?
“Yes and no. The two big areas that accomplish mind control are the corporate Mainstream Media and the centralized education establishment. They have ruined whole generations of students- turned them into Marxists. It’s going to be a long battle to get these generations back. One thing that kids are really good at is being rebellious. So, I am encouraged by some in the younger generation showing signs of Conservatism and being against these Controligarchs. It is the new punk rock. It’s cool to resist The Man, in a way. The Hippies were against The Man, but The Man is now on the side of the Hippies.”
Q6- Please respond to: opponents have said this book is conspiracy theorist stuff. Also, your thoughts on the Kirkus Review only a day after the book release date, which seems to suggest the same? ….

As you can see, it is not very complimentary. It consists of a sprinkling of quotes from skimming your book, some truncated and distorted, out of context, along with snide, snarky comments implying that the work is false and biased.
“Yes, it should be great for sales of the book, which refutes this soundly!” He then quickly found it and read it online, gleefully and exuberantly reviewing the reviewer, until I changed the subject in the interest of time.
Q7. Please respond to: opponents have said this book is political. Some opponents have said that nearly all of your villains are Democrats and that you left out key right-wing villains such as the Koch bros. and others. Are you an equal opportunity exposer? Please support response.
“It’s not political, it’s existential … it is non-partisan. I just let the facts, and their (Controligarchs’) own words, using MSM (MainStream Media) as much as possible, tell the story … As stated previously, we used that approach with the Clintons, the Bushes, the Obamas, Kushners. I tried to get Elon Musk on the cover- he wouldn’t be described as a Democrat. “
“The characters in this book and the situation really transcend political parties. I tire of the Democrat-Republican ‘food fights.” The people in Washington, both sides, that’s just a shiny object to distract us while the real heist of history is being perpetrated by the Controligarchs’ in Silicon Valley and Wall St. and in Davos (WEF).”
“It’s certainly not like the Democrats of yesteryear- the Kennedy Democrats. They’re just using left wing Liberal phraseology to hoodwink people. You see it all the time with the big corporations- when they change their logos to a rainbow flag. Do you really think they care about gay rights or transgender rights? They’re just seeking to merge state power with corporate power, which is Fascist. You hear the Democrats throw around “Fascist, Fascist, Fascist.” It’s really a misdirection play. Because some of the Democrat corporations like Blackrock, Bill Gates, Zuckerberg- they’re the Fascists, they’re the ones who want to merge state power with corporations. And they’re not really Democrats—they’re technocrats. Technocrats are a ruling class of scientific elites. They don’t think the people are smart enough to make decisions about their own lives. Technocracy is inherently anti-democratic.”
“After following these things for a number of years, it became apparent that there are more powerful forces than Congress or Capitol Hill in Washington. They’re global forces. You can see politicians around the world marching in lockstep. The pandemic was really the wakeup call for all of this. Why do so many governments have a ‘Build Back Better’ plan. It’s the same name. The WEF’s Klaus Schwab said it. Boris Johnson said it, Joe Biden said it, other heads of state said it.”
Mr. Bruner said he looked for those who fit the Controligarch profile. When pressed, he conceded that it looked like more were Democrats. When I pressed him for why, he said that maybe they have more of a tendency for autocratic ways. If you boil down the major difference between Democrats and Republicans, it’s big government (Dems) vs small government (Republicans). Technocrats prefer big government, so the Controligarchs align closer with the Dems.”
Q8- Please respond to: opponents have said that GAI, your employer, claims to be about exposing government/industry crony capitalism, but its work tends to be right wing hit pieces against our democracy and patriotic private citizens.

Q9- What modifications to claims have you made as a result of findings/positions of peers or critics in past work?
“(paraphrased) Never. We have never been sued and I have never been forced to issue a retraction. We meticulously research EVERYTHING. It was the same process for Controligarchs—we meticulously cross-check everything, using our staff of researchers, at least 6 editors, fact checkers, even legal support from 3 lawyers. The publisher’s editor provides another layer. Just this book alone has nearly one hundred pages of references, footnoted.” We bend over backwards to use the Mainstream sources. It takes extra time to go find the admissions against interests, just so the readers of Jeff Bezos’s Washington Post or the supporters of the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation can’t dispute sources that come from the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation. I would encourage any critics of this book to go and look at the end notes to find that ninety-nine out of a hundred sources they support.”
Q10- I have seen many of your claims elsewhere. What makes this book unique and what new stuff did you bring out here?
“Someone has called it a “retrospectoscope,” which is: it goes back to the beginning, finds a root cause and it shows you what they have done and where they’re headed. It’s a blueprint for the future. I document what these guys are saying, that they have plans for the future. I go back and document that they have been planning things and each of their objectives is either attained or amended and eventually, they’re right.”
“It’s a shame what’s happened with many political non-fiction books. In a lot of ways, it’s become a grift, where “buy my book” has become synonymous with “fund my grift,” where they copy/paste a bunch of opinions and call it a book. We are trying to take back book publishing and make it about informing people and not just selling them something.”
As he pointed out earlier, the Controligarchs’ links to China, emulation of China and even helping China to increase its iron grip on the People is sobering. This book documents it well. “The Controligarchs don’t want to decouple from Chana- not at all. They want the United States more like China- and we’re getting more like China every day….I get into friendly, amicable debates with colleagues about whether China is our enemy, whether we need to something about China… we need to define the terms ‘our’ and ‘we’ in terms of adversaries.”
“We The People may see China as our adversary, but our ruling class elites- Wall Street, Silicon Valley, Washington DC are totally different, the American Foreign Policy Establishment- you have endless wars. They’re not on the same side as the People. In fact, the People have more in common with the average Chinese peasant than they do with our ruling class, which has more in common with Xi Jinping than they do with us.” We agreed that China won’t just sing kumbaya when the agenda is completed, as they have already made plans to destroy the West, some of which proceed even during their cooperation with the Controligarchs.
Mr. Bruner also pointed out the extensive research, documenting, referencing, fact checking, editing, even legal vetting of the book makes it as factual and unassailable as they could.
Q11- Predictions for the future: Will the Controligarchs be stopped or even slowed down? Will the 2024 election be decisive, or do their supranational approach and superdeep pockets effectively resist that? Will it be honest? Will it be more “Uniparty” control, or signs of change and which direction?
“Like I said before, it’s 2024 or nothing …This election will probably be crooked… we already see that it is rigged. So, this one is gong to be as bad as 2020. That doesn’t mean you should curl up into a ball and just stockpile ammo and ride out the apocalypse. I’m encouraged by the fact that they can’t do it again, can’t shut down the counts due to a leaky water pipe, without people noticing and doing something about it…we were blindsided in 2020.”
“So, fool us once…. Every single day, there’s more and more proof that the election was rigged. They admitted to the election being rigged on the cover of Time magazine. It was a piece by Molly Ball where they called the election ‘fortified’ by the big tech guys like Mark Zuckerberg. You can’t have Big Tech giving hundreds of millions of dollars to election precincts, to put drop boxes discriminately where it would help them the most.”
He suggested earlier that people should get involved and that can affect the outcome. It was evident that he doesn’t know, maybe nobody knows, what the outcome will be. But he focused on the drivers for it and where the Controligarchs have gone with it. Your move.
