Good Afternoon, There are 15 new COVID-19 cases today (5 (33.3%) of which have a lab collection from October 6th or earlier), 1,769 additional people have been tested. There are no additional deaths.

Currently there are 33 people in the hospital and 8 people in the ICU with COVID-19.

In total, there have been 158 deaths (age range 22-107 years old; 91 males and 67 females).

The State’s monitoring metrics monitor positivity rate and case rate. The state reviews this information every Tuesday. The County of Ventura is currently in the State’s Red Tier. The County is at 5.2 (red tier) for the case rate and 2.7% (orange tier) for the positivity rate. The County is at 3.6% for the lower Health Places Index (HPI) quartile for the State’s Health Equity Metric. The State requires counties in the red tier to have a test positivity rate of less than 8% for the lowest quartile HPI.
