I strongly disagree with CJ’s policy of allowing partial names or pseudonyms to be used by letter writers. If you can’t put your name to your opinions then please keep your opinions to yourself.

I think you have a typo on the moderator email address – I am guessing it should be gmail.

Other than that – THANKS for all this!

Interested Citizen,

Good Evening, I am Richard L. moderator and one of the main organizers of this forum. I appreciate your feedback and concern as to if this event will be biased based on who you see participating and or sponsoring this evening gathering.

The heartbeat behind this forum is to provide a platform for all candidates to be respected, valued as citizens of our beautiful city and offered the opportunity to express why they feel they are the best candidate for the position they are running for. It will also give us (the People) an opportunity to hear them answer some questions that will be selected for this evening which is why we are soliciting the questions.

We believe, Oxnard has its brightest days ahead of it and are excited for the future.

Is this an Al Jones sponsored event? Or an Oxnard Homeless committee event? I was under the impression that CJ events are un-biased and allow full disclosure of transparency when it comes to all candidates. Three of the event sponsors worked directly with Mr. Jones on the Homeless committee and two of the event committee members work on his current campaign. Not a very impartial forum for the candidates if you ask me…..
