As the California Recall Race heats up, the DNC has chosen to mislead the Electorate by making claims ALL candidates running for Governor are somehow not vetted.

“Hi, Chris my name is Carol, I’m a volunteer with the California Democratic Party. I want to make sure you are aware of Tuesday’s Recall Election and that you’ve got your ballot in the mail and you filled it out please vote NO. No matter how you feel about Governor Newsom it is a terrible way to elect a new Governor. The people on the write-in candidates have NOT been vetted and if they win with a very small percentage of the Electorate. Not a very Democratic process so please send it in or drop it off by Tuesday afternoon. Thanks so much Chris, bye bye!”
When the call is returned, there is no mention of the attack on the professionalism of the California Secretary of State, which is clear during the robocall, or the statement that all of the candidates are not vetted to be Governor of California. Everyone gets thrown under the bus in this attempt to sway the voters. 9 Democrats, 24 Republicans, 2 Green Party, 1 Libertarian and 10 candidates who have no Party affiliation are all dismissed as unqualified with this attempt to convince the voters to keep Gavin Newsom in Sacramento. Did I mention the 7 additional certified write-in candidates? Yep, they have a place under the bus as well.
The California Secretary of State Political Reform Division was sent a transcript of the call, with an opportunity to comment on the accusation candidates certified for the California Recall ballot by the SOS staff have not been vetted. As of the time of publication, they have not replied.
Governor Newsom was also offered an opportunity to distance himself from this practice. His campaign has not responded.
Should the Governor or his Secretary of State respond, this article will reflect their comments.
