On March 24th, at approximately 6:02 p.m., officers from the Oxnard Special Enforcement Unit (Gang Unit) conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle in the 500 blk. of East Third St.
The driver, Juan Sauceda, was found to be driving on a suspended license. Sauceda and his passengers were removed from the vehicle.
During an inventory search of the vehicle, officers located a short-barreled rifle and a magazine with 5.56 ammunition that was concealed in the vehicle.
Sauceda is a documented criminal street gang member with prior felony convictions for firearms violations and previous felony assaults. Due to Sauceda’s previous felony convictions, he is prohibited from possessing firearms or ammunition.
