DON’T BE FOOLED: EIPCa vs. EIP — A Question Of Genuine Integrity

    By Gloria Chinea

Recently, those concerned about the honesty and integrity of the nation’s elections have learned that there has been a fox guarding the henhouse.

Several conservative news outlets that have the courage to focus on election integrity issues from time to time alerted their readers to an organization known as the “Election Integrity Partnership”, a consortium created for the sole purpose of suppressing the free flow of information regarding elections through censoring information deemed as conflicting with their ideology.

By keeping most competing opinions from social and mainstream media, the Partnership seeks to manipulate voters’ choices, and thus the electoral results.

By referring to the Partnership as “EIP” in their exposés, and in some cases inadvertently replacing the word “partnership” with the word “project”, well-meaning news outlets have caused a storm of confusion and doubt among readers and supporters of Election Integrity Project®California (EIPCa).

Some readers were mistakenly led to believe Election Integrity Partnership to be one and the same with Election Integrity Project®California and have reached out to express their sense of betrayal.

Let us set the record straight:

EIPCa’s goals are and always have been the

complete antithesis of those of the Partnership.

EIPCa and our numerous and incredible supporters already know who we are and that our organization has been working for 12 years to fight for the rights of voters to have a fair, honest and transparent process for choosing those who govern. The track record of EIPCa is transparent and substantial: Overview Election Integrity Project®California, Inc. (EIPCa)

Our goal, as reflected by our IRS Purpose Statement is to defend, through education, research, and advocacy the civil rights of U.S. citizens to fully participate in the election process under the Federal and state law.

    • EIPCa educates voters with respect to election laws, process & procedures used to manage elections through our Election Observations program.
    • EIPCa researches voter rolls and provides findings reports to the CA Secretary of State and County Registrars.
    • EIPCa documented how state and federal laws have removed integrity from the election process.
    • EIPCa provided reports, briefs and complaints to the Dept. of Homeland Security, the Department of Justice, the Civil Rights Department, and members of Congress.
    • EIPCa filed four lawsuits (three in CA state court/one in federal court) and filed a critical friend of the court brief informing the U.S. Supreme Court of the dangers of unregulated and unprotected ballot harvesting in the Arizona’s Brnovich case.

In essence, we do everything in our power to ensure

“Every Lawfully Cast Vote is Accurately Counted”.

The Partnership, according to Breitbart, Report: ‘Election Integrity’ Partnership Worked with Feds to Censor News Sites in 2020 , is “a coalition of globalist nonprofits, academic institutions, and one private company [that] reportedly worked with arms of the federal government and Democrat activist organizations to censor news websites in the runup to the 2020 election, and plans to do so again in 2022.”

The misunderstanding regarding the organizational identities has created disorientation among voters who are seeking genuine answers regarding voting properly. The misidentification has also created an excuse for not-so-honest news outlets to exploit the confusion, as well as some conservative news outlets to perpetuate erroneous “identity theft.” There has been an array of such articles, and EIPCa has had to divert attention and funds from our election season observation efforts to address the many concerns and questions coming our way.

EIPCa has reached out to national news reporting sites in order to set the record straight. Breitbart demonstrated their journalistic integrity by immediately and obligingly reposting their article, removing the references to the Partnership as a Project, and adding an Editor’s Note: The Election Integrity Partnership is completely unaffiliated with the Election Integrity Project®California found at www.eip-ca.com

Another indication of how some in the media stimulated harmful action by misleading news reports regarding the Election Integrity Partnership surfaced on Steve Bannon’s War Room while Bannon interviewed Darren Beatty of Revolver News.

During the interview, Beatty made an absolutist statement of his own while referring to the information suppression tactics of the operatives in the Election Integrity Partnership as those more like those coming out of East Germany. He went on a rant stating that people have been conditioned to believe that any Non-Government Organization with the term “integrity” in their name is automatically suspect. It would have been more responsible to present a balanced message by pointing out that organizations like Election Integrity Project®California are doing great work by researching, identifying and proving what the issues are that have negatively impacted integrity in the election process nationwide.

While Beatty’s generalizing about the use of “integrity” in the name of any organization could easily be dismissed by volunteers or loyal supporters of Election Integrity Project®California, it must be noted that for others unfamiliar with either of the two organizations, such words of condemnation by a professional journalist create a great deal of misunderstanding.

In fact, such over-generalizations do great harm,

with truth being one of the first casualties.

Such sweeping statements do not do justice to the other more important points that Beatty was trying to reveal. Certainly, the truth of the lack of integrity of the Election Integrity Partnership needs to be told, but not at the expense of a group like the Election Integrity Project®California, or other groups in which volunteers are truly working hard to expose malfeasance and non-compliance with election codes in our elections.

There is a very substantial difference between

    the Election Integrity Partnership and

    the Election Integrity Project®California (EIPCa).

The two organizations are truly polar opposites. The former gives integrity a very bad name and appears established to hamper or destroy the integrity of the electoral process. EIPCa believes that the electoral process is the cornerstone of self-governance and the preservation of our Constitutional Republic. We expect elections to be fair, honest and transparent.

The Election Integrity Project®California (EIPCa) is a nonpartisan group of U.S. citizen volunteers seeking to fulfill our duty to actively participate in the governing of our state/country, a government of, by, and for the people by helping to ensure the integrity of that part of our Republic through which citizens exercise our most fundamental right ~ the right to choose our representatives by fair and honest elections.

In a year of flagrant misrepresentation during the election season, it is wise for citizens to do their homework and insist on the integrity of the elections in every state.
