Editorial: Forgetting America’s Purpose

“To everything there is a season a time for every purpose under heaven.” –Ecclesiastes 3:1

This nation needs to return to our founders’ purpose. Today, we are “forgetting America’s purpose.”

I would like to suggest that America was founded in order to live:

• In strong families;
• With Freedom; and
• Moral laws.

This nation is now at war within itself—this is a Battle for America. I would call it a contrast between the Great Lie and the Great Truth.

The Great Lie:

• The 1619 Project (the New York Times commemoration of the 400^th anniversary of the arrival of the first enslaved Africans in the English colony of Virginia);
• A Racist Nation (the conclusion reached by writers of the 1619 Project that states that racism is inherent in the law and legal institutions of the United States); and
• Critical Race Theory (based on the premise that race is a socially constructed category used to oppress and exploit people of color and must be taught not only in colleges but in K-12 grades).

The Great Truth (Declaration of Independence):

• All men are created equal;
• Endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights; and
• Among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness.

The Great Truth combats The Great Lie that has turned America into a(an):

• Abortion Nation (watch Unplanned, 2019 documentary: the Abby Johnson story—of the nation’s youngest Planned Parenthood clinic director who became a pro-life advocate);

Prayer Points:

• For families to stay strong despite an assault of porn and sexual indoctrination in our colleges and public schools. To pray that parents

take stewardship of the training of their own children (see https://www.publicschoolexit.com/school-options.)

• For us to remember that our roots are based in freedom and we are called to be freedom protectors (see link about Russian’s invasion of Ukraine: https://www.citizensjournal.us/no-appeasement-ukrainian-lives-matter)

and to protect the rights of women in women’s sports and not allow men to unfairly compete against women.
