Tickets go on sale on May 22, 2018
On the occasion of its 25th anniversary, Bowlful of Blues will extend a warm Ojai welcome to Alligator Records artist Selwyn Birchwood, described by Rolling Stone as a “major player” and “remarkable contemporary bluesman.”
Libbey Bowl will be filled to the brim with the blues of Texas-rooted showmasters Teresa James & the Rhythm Tramps, West Coast/Chicago style harpmeister James Harman with special guest Carl “Sonny” Leyland, the Louisiana mix of Hot Roux, and the electrifying Kwan Telifaro Project. So mark your calendars for Saturday, September 22, from 4:00 to 9:30 p.m. in downtown Ojai.
The Bowlful of Blues benefit festival is a joint production of Community Advocacy Coalition of Ventura County, Rhythm of the Coast 99.1FM and the Kaufer Brothers, in association with Hi-Hat Entertainment. Net proceeds are used to further music education for local youth. Tax-deductible business and individual sponsorship opportunities are described at bowlfulofblues.org.
A limited number of vendor spaces are available for food, crafts, and blues-related items. Volunteers are welcome to help staff the event. Tickets will go on sale May 22 at the website and at ticket outlets in Ventura and Santa Barbara counties. For all information visit bowlfulofblues.org and facebook.com/OjaiBowlful.
