Let your kids exercise their creativity this summer as they learn to paint inside the Santa Paula Art Museum’s Cole Creativity Center! The Museum’s five-day Adventures in Painting Camp for ages 9-12 is all about fun and building skills in a variety of paint media. Students will learn basic skills in brushwork, application, and painting techniques, as well as color theory, composition, and finished presentation. This five-day camp will be taught Monday, July 24, 2023, to Friday, July 28, 2023, from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. each day.
This camp is appropriate for everyone ages 9-12. The cost of the five-day camp is $160.00 per child for the entire week. All skill levels are welcome and all materials are provided. Preregistration is required and space is limited. Questions? Please call the Museum at (805) 525-5554 ext 104.
*To keep all of our kids healthy and happy, campers are expected to remain home if they have any unusual health symptoms, and may ask for a refund if they cannot attend.
About Our Teaching Artist: An LA native, Jem Morris completed her BFA at Academy of Art University in 2019. She has explored many styles including Surrealism, landscape, figurative painting, and pet portraiture in the traditional media of oils, acrylic, watercolor, graphite, and charcoal. Jem brings lots of experience teaching art to kids of all ages, and tons of enthusiasm to this camp!
