Event Announcement
Calling all community members to join the movement and be a part of the Black Lives Matter March for Justice & Unity on Saturday, February 21, 2015 at 10 a.m. in front of the Southwest Division Police Headquarters at Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard and Denker Avenue[between Western and Normandie Avenues] and end in Leimert Park with special guest speakers.
This is the first city march to take place in South LA, where a mass majority of police brutality in Los Angeles County occurs. Feb. 21 also marks the anniversary of Malcom X’s death.
Join a coalition of African American churches, political leaders, community organizations, entertainers, fraternities, sororities, student organizations, block clubs, political clubs, and individuals who care about the quality of life of our community.
