    Information and Guidelines

    RESERVE YOUR SPOT!

CHECK IN: FRIDAY, May 27th after 2PM (no early check-ins!)
CHECK OUT: MONDAY, May 30th before 11AM.

    Location:
    Sage Hill Campground
5050 Paradise Rd, Santa Barbara, CA 93105

Directions: From Santa Barbara, take highway 154 and go Northbound for approximately 10 miles to Paradise Road and go right. Travel out paradise road for approximately four miles. Look for the group campground sign on the left side of the highway at the ranger station.

There are limited number of RV spots but plenty of tent spots. Spots are designated to fit the life station of 3 Groups. They are:

    1. Young Family Group – Meant for families with younger children that can stay near the main hangout area so children can go to bed and parents can still hang out after.
    2. Family Group – Meant for families with older kids that can handle some space from the main hangout area and that may like to stay out later.
    3. Quiet Group – Meant for families with no kids to enjoy peace and quiet in the morning and night.

Reservations are for a “spot” and not based on number of people. A spot is:

    • One tent and one vehicle
    • One tow vehicle and one trailer
    • One RV and one towed “run-around” vehicle

Cost is $50 per reservation (nonrefundable).

GENERAL INFO FOR TENT AND RV/TRAILER

One month prior to the camping date, you will receive an email with last minute information, directions and your group site. Upon arrival, your camp host will help direct you where to park your car and location of your tent or trailer/RV.

    POTLUCK & CHURCH SATURDAY NIGHT!

We have scheduled an all-church family potluck dinner Saturday night. Dinner will start at 6:00PM. Our camp staff will be cooking you up a hotdog or two with all the fixens.  Bring a side dish or dessert to share. Immediately after dinner (around 7:30) we will have our worship gathering. So, please plan on joining us for dinner and in worshipping under the stars.

On Sunday, fix your dinner and bring it to the common area to eat with others.

    THINGS TO DO

    • FAMILY GAMES – There will be some fun family games, so come ready to compete. See schedule below or click here to download a PDF.
    • HIKE – There is a hiking path up the mountain, very pretty and an adventure.  There are some narrow paths so make sure to hold little kids’ hands.  This is a great way to see God’s creation.  There is likely to be some poison oak outside of the campground, some next to the trails. Be sure to check for ticks!
    • SOLVANG – Shopping, wine tasting and food (approximately 30 min away)
    • SANTA BARBARA – Spend the day getting lost in Santa Barbara or go to the beach (approximately 25 minutes away)
    • FISHING AT LAKE CACHUMA – Fee and license required (approximately 15 min away).

      Download the schedule PDF here.

    SUGGESTED ITEMS TO BRING

    • Plenty of drinkable water (there is potable water at the campground but taste is not guaranteed)
    • Sunscreen
    • Camping chair for worship time and relaxing
    • Pop-up canopy (if you have one)

If camping is not your thing, there is a Best Western nearby and other hotels not far away. Stay there at night and join us during the day ($10 fee per day).
