 On Friday, August 15th, California Citizens Against Lawsuit Abuse (CALA) http://www.sickoflawsuits.org/california/home  is hosting a Small Business Summit featuring Jeff Gorell, Assemblyman from the 44^th Assembly District and candidate for U.S. House of Representatives. The Assemblyman will share his experience as a member of the Assembly Judiciary Committee and discuss his efforts to halt abusive lawsuits.    

 The Summit will also highlight Gorell’s efforts at the national level to support reform limiting venue shopping, in which plaintiffs’ attorneys seek out courts they believe are more likely to deliver their desired verdicts, and reform of federal Americans with Disabilities Act legislation. 

CALA supporters and friends are invited to share their experiences with lawsuit abuse with the Assemblyman. For more than 20 years, CALA has been the grassroots voice of victims of lawsuit abuse and those who want our legal system to be used for justice, not greed.
