    When: Thu, July 4, 8:30am – 10:30am
    Where: Borchard Park, Newbury Park, CA (map)

    The 4th of July Fireworks Spectacular, coordinated by the Conejo Recreation and Park District, The City of Thousand Oaks and other local sponsors, takes place on the hill behind the Hillcrest Center of the Arts in Thousand Oaks. Fireworks start at 9 p.m., with a great view from Janss Marketplace and The Oaks mall parking lots and surrounding areas!  Patriotic music simulcast by KHAY 100.7 FM.

    Other 4th of July activities in Thousand Oaks include the following:

    Pancake Breakfast $5.00/person at Borchard Community Center, 190 Reino Road, Newbury Park, from 8:00-11:00am, Pancakes, sausage, coffee and orange juice served.

    Test your skill with a bat for only $5! Registration taken 8:30-10:30am; the swinging starts at 9:00am! Divisions: Men’s Open 16+, Women’s Open 16+, Men’s Masters 40+; awards are presented! Information/rules: 805-495-4674

    SENIOR Home Run Derby – 9:00am-11:00am,
    Borchard Community Park – Field #1
    Presented by the Goebel Center; onsite Registration & Check-In starts at 8:30am. Men’s and women’s divisions plus age group categories; trophies are awarded! $5/person. Information: 805-381-2744

    Community Pools at CLU & NPHS

    Open Swim Afternoon! – FREE Noon-4:00pm
    Free open swim at the Community Pool at CLU and the Newbury Park High School pool from noon to 4pm! Stop by for a cool time! Wear sunscreen!

    Concert in the Park at Conejo Community Park, 1175 Hendrix Avenue at 5pm – Featurss Hot August Nights – A Neil Diamond Tribute.
