FEED805 HOLDS FINAL FOOD DRIVE OF THE YEAR
ON SATURDAY IN PARTNERSHIP WITH FOOD SHARE
FEED805 exists to mobilize the community and collect over 50,000 pounds of food to
serve the 1 in 6 individuals in Ventura County who are facing food insecurity.
[Ventura, CA] — This Saturday, November 5th from 9am-12pm, the final Feed805 drop-off event is taking place at 5353 Walker Street. Individuals, businesses, fire departments, police departments and many more organizations from around the county will be dropping off the food they have collected over the last month.
Feed805 is a county-wide initiative to tackle food insecurity in Ventura County created by Mission Church in partnership with Food Share. There are over 100 Feed805 partners and drop sites participating in the 2022 Feed805 food drive. The City of Oxnard, the Ventura County Fire Department, Santa Paula Police Department, Ventura Fire and Police Departments, Oxnard Fire department, Trader Joeʼs, Ralphs in Camarillo and even the District Attorney’s office are just a few of the partners for Feed805!
District Attorney Erik Nasarenko said, “Feed805, we are all in. We all need to make sure that no one in the 805 ever goes hungry again.” Jennifer Caldwell, the Chief Development Officer at Food Share said this about food drives, “Food drives give honor and dignity to individuals by allowing them the opportunity to choose from different brands. We love food drives and we love partnering with Feed805!”

There is still time to collect food and drop it off this Saturday. The most needed items are canned proteins (tuna, chicken, salmon), beans (dry and canned), rice (1-2lb bags or mixes), cereal and peanut butter.
