Inspire Entrepreneurship Speaker Series event; Panel Discussion On Starting A Cottage Food Business In Your Own Kitchen

Calling everyone that loves to bake!  The Simi Valley Chamber of Commerce and the City of Simi Valley’s Youth Employment Service (YES) are inviting members of the startup community and future entrepreneurs to attend the Inspire Entrepreneurship event on Tuesday, November 8, 2022, from 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at the Simi Valley Cultural Arts Center.

The FREE event, titled “Tips for Cottage Food Entrepreneurs”, will feature a panel discussion with three local entrepreneur businesses, Cakes by Christina, Our Daily Bread, and Minns Baked Goods, who have all successfully launched their home-based Cottage Food operations in Ventura County.  These bakers will share tips and information to help those wanting to start a business selling their homemade baked goods legally.  Also joining the panel discussion will be Sue Seiler, Cottage Food Program Operation Specialist with the Ventura County Resource Management Agency’s Environmental Health Division, to review the permitting process and regulations, and answer questions.

Attendance is free with advance registration at this link: https://startupsimi.com/.  The Simi Valley Cultural Arts Center is located at 3050 East Los Angeles Avenue, Simi Valley, CA 93065.  For more information, email [email protected].
