“Wearing Our Stories” is the theme for 2018 event
The Museum of Ventura County will host its annual Wearable Art Fashion Show, 6 p.m., June 2, at the Museum’s Smith Pavilion, 100 E. Main Street, Ventura. The theme for this year, “Wearing Our Stories: Rising from the Ashes,” focuses on stitching together the stories of courage amid destruction and mending the devastation left behind by the Thomas Fire. Artists, artisans and community members have been challenged to tell their stories through an article of clothing or accessories designed for the show. General admission tickets are $45 for non-members, $40 for members, and VIP admission (including pre-reception with appetizers and one drink ticket) is $75 for non-members, $70 for members.
