Legendary poet and punk icon Patti Smith comes to the Saban Theatre for an evening of songs and stories to celebrate her new visual book, A Book of Days, chronicling her life on and off the road. Known for shooting with her beloved Land Camera 250, Smith started posting images from her phone on Instagram which included portraits of her kids, her radiator, her boots, and her Abyssinian cat. Over time, a story of a life devoted to art took shape with more than a million followers responding to her unique and imaginative aesthetic. In this exclusive L.A. date, and the last on her book tour, Smith will take the stage to engage the audience on a tour of her remarkable career. This program is presented by the ALOUD Series, a program of the Library Foundation of Los Angeles.
