Family Night Under the Stars at the Moorpark College Observatory – The Ventura County Astronomical Society will take you on a tour of the night sky with dozens of telescopes set up and ready to go. Astronomy Professor Hal Jandorf will point out the coolest objects with a green laser pointer and give you some fun facts about each. Then see them for yourself up close. What a great way to start the summer. 8 to 10:30 pm, gates open at 7. Arrive early for a priority ticket to enter the dome. 7075 Campus Rd. Moorpark. Admission and Parking are FREE. www.vcas.org
