    Speaker – Susan Shelley
Candidate for the California Assembly, 45th district

Susan Shelley is the Republican candidate  for the California Assembly in District 45, the west San Fernando Valley. In last year’s special election for this seat, Susan ran a grassroots campaign and shocked the political world by getting 49.4% of the vote, missing a victory by just 329 votes.

Susan is the author of three books on the U.S. Constitution, including a novel, a history of the Bill of Rights, and “Uncle Sam’s Nickel,” a proposal to repeal the federal income tax code and replace it with a flat tax. The Los Angeles Daily News called her “a whipsmart constitutional scholar.” She’s endorsed by the Howard Jarvis Taxpayers Association, Assembly Republican Leader Connie Conway, Senate Republican Leader Bob Huff, and the Republican Party of Los Angeles and Ventura Counties.
