So Cal Libertarian Party Conference – Saturday, January 23 in Santa Fe Springs:

The 7th annual So Cal conference is coming up soon – on Saturday, January 23.  Oriented around activism, this event is very popular with Libertarians and has often attracted as many people as our state convention.  This year’s speaker’s list represents the major political activism going on this election year, aside from candidates.  We will hear from representatives from a number of initiatives:  Marijuana Decriminalization, Death Penalty Reform, and many more.  In addition, we will hear from Libertarian Party leaders about their efforts, their successes, and their lessons learned.

This event provides a great opportunity to network with your fellow Libertarians, and to learn from each other.  If you have a friend that you want to introduce to the LP, there is no better opportunity for them to meet new friends and get excited about being involved.  I will be there and I hope to see you there as well.

Not only is the event a lot of fun, it’s reasonably priced as well.  Tickets are $35 at the door, or online, and includes a buffet lunch.

LP Activist Training by Libertarians for Libertarians – February 12 to 14 near San Francisco Airport:

The national Libertarian Party is hosting an activist training seminar on a variety of topics of interest to those who want the LP to grow and be successful — and win some victories in the process.  Topics include Campaign Management, Messaging, Tabling, Candidate Recruiting, Social Media, Local Organizing, Fundraising, Media, Getting Appointed to Local Office, and Getting Elected & Serving in Local Office.  

Speakers include Carla Howell, Andy Burns, Janine Kloss, Michael Cloud, Ted Brown, John Inks, and Elizabeth Brierly, plus many more.  There will be a lot of socializing and networking at this event, with the intent of moving the LP forward in 2016.
