The St. John’s Healthcare Foundation invites the community to attend this year’s Brighten A Life tree lighting ceremony on Tuesday, December 10, from 5:30 to 7:00 pm in the new lobby at St. John’s Pleasant Valley Hospital (SJPVH) in Camarillo (2309 Antonio Ave.). This year’s tree lighting shines a light on the St. John’s Cancer Center.

“Brighten a Life presents a unique opportunity to pause and reflect as we remember friends and family who have been touched by cancer while supporting a great cause,” says Lynn Jeffers, MD, Chief Medical Officer of St. John’s Pleasant Valley Hospital.

This ceremony provides an opportunity to pause, remember, and honor friends and family. The evening includes a brief reflective program and a performance by the Tinseltone Carolers.

The St. John’s Cancer Center offers vital programs and services such as access to an Oncology nurse navigator, support groups, nutrition counseling, relaxation therapy, and educational resources. These services are offered at no charge to patients. Funds raised through the tree lighting ceremony help support the St. John’s Cancer Center’s efforts.

The Foundation encourages the community, patients, and survivors to recognize a loved one this holiday season by purchasing a personalized porcelain ornament ($50) or collectible Jim Shore Angel ($200). Those wishing to contribute can make their donations in the name of a friend or family member.

To make a donation, contact the St. John’s Healthcare Foundation at (805) 988-2821 or visit www.supportstjohns.org.
