Gathering continues in this time of pandemic on Zoom and exported live to the congregation’s Facebook page which is www.facebook.com/uucsp. Maddie Sifantus announces the monthly Gathering with Sound, Silence and Word broadcast from the Universalist Unitarian Church of Santa Paula on Tuesday, March 9 at 7:00 PM. No in person attendance. Gathering is a reflective time in our busy weeks to hear some beautiful music, share some silence and hear spoken word on a theme. Original poetry by Atul Ranchod.

The music will be provided by Christine Snipes Mazor on violin, Geno Palilla on piano and Maddie Sifantus, soprano. Geno and Christine are a resident of Ventura and are frequent performers at Gathering. Geno is a past performer in the Santa Paula Concert Series. Maddie Sifantus, in addition to being the minister of the Universalist Unitarian Church, is a professional singer with a long career in the Northeast before her move to Santa Paula. Free, but with a free will offering to compensate our Gathering musicians that can be mailed to UUCSP, 740 E Main Street, Santa Paula, CA 93060 with Gathering in the memo line or donations can be made from the church’s website www.uucsp.org.

The Universalist Unitarian Church of Santa Paula is one of the oldest churches in Ventura County and one of the first Universalist churches established on the West Coast. It is the oldest church building in the city of Santa Paula and is the bearer of a proud liberal religious heritage that dates back to mid 18th century America.
