The City of Thousand Oaks will bring their annual Pop-Up Arts & Music Festival to Thousand Oaks every Friday and Saturday in the month of June.
The festival this year will feature ten free events over five weekends from June 2- July 1, 2023. In partnership with local arts organizations, the festival will include local and regional artistic talent, in addition to nationally recognized performing artists.
Events are free and open to all.

Brogden Bay Presents John Jorgenson Bluegrass Band
J2B2 is an all-star bluegrass supergroup featuring four legendary, award-winning musicians – John Jorgenson on acoustic guitar, mandolin and vocals; Herb Pedersen on banjo, acoustic guitar and vocals; Mark Fain on bass; and Patrick Sauber on acoustic guitar and vocals – delivering bluegrass like no one has ever heard before.

Delfeayo Marsalis & The Uptown Jazz Orchestra
Delfeayo Marsalis is one of the top trombonists, composers, and producers in jazz today. Known for his “technical excellence, inventive mind and frequent touches of humor” (Los Angeles Times). Marsalis and his uptown orchestra will bring a bit of New Orleans to Thousand Oaks.

New West Symphony presents Ilya Serov
New West Symphony musicians and billboard charting contemporary jazz trumpeter and vocalist Ilya Serov will jazz up the stage performing familiar renditions of all-time favorite standards. From swing, Latin, bossa nova to smooth jazz styles, the concert will delight, entertain, and inspire.

Adrian + Meredith
Rogue folk due Adrian + Meredith have always marched to their own beat. Their music embodies the spirit of the human story with a nod to punk, the heart of folk, flavor of Polka, and a bounce of swing. Their show will have you on your feet dancing, clapping, and stomping along.

Shaky Feelin’
Watch as Thousand Oaks artist Mouse Rawk creates a large mural from start to finish. The high energy Jam Band Shaky Feelin’ will be on hand, mixing rock, reggae, funk and bluegrass.

562nd Airforce Band
The Air National Guard Band of the West Coast is a 26-piece ensemble led under the direction of Major Silas Huff. This group is the main musical group that present as ambassadors, representing the state of California and the United States Air Force.

Quitapenas
This tropical Afro-Latin combo borrow aesthetics from the radical 60s, 70s and 80s. Each song echoes a remix of history and invites one to engage in the liberating evenings of Angola, Peru, Colombia, Brazil and beyond. The name means “to remove worries.” and the mission of Quitapenas is simple: to make you dance and leave you without a worry.

Combining the thumping sousaphone bass beats and interlocking riffs of a New Orleans brass band with the rituals, moves and garb of a Mardi Gras Indian troupe, Cha Wa brings a blast of soul straight from out of New Orleans.
Community partners include TOArts Presents, Conejo Recreation and Parks District, 5-Star Theatricals, Brogden Bay Presents, New West Symphony
