The Ventura County Garden Club’s next event will be on Wednesday, October 3rd (2018) at the Dudley House, 197N. Ashwood, Ventura. This authentic Victorian farmhouse is on the corner of Loma Vista and Ashwood. This will be a one-hour docent-led walking tour of the 1892 house museum and gardens. It is a special, private tour for members and guests of the garden club, because the house is normally only open the 1st Sunday of each month. The tour will begin at 11:00 a.m.; therefore, if you are attending, please plan to gather in front of the house at least five minutes earlier. There will be a $5.00 per person (cash only) tour fee.
The gift shop will be available to participants after the tour and has many gift items for sale. Then the group will gather for a patio lunch at Café Nouveau, from 12:30-3:00 p.m. The Café is located at 1497 E. Thompson Blvd., Ventura. Participants are encouraged to carpool, since finding nearby parking can be a challenge.
