WHAT: The Oxnard Harbor District/Port of Hueneme will hold its 57th round of food distribution in Oxnard in collaboration with the Nyeland Promise community organization, LUCHA, Inc., and Inlakech Cultural Arts Center. A total of 350 families from the Nyeland Acres community will receive food supplies such as tortillas, bananas, rice, beans, and more. The Port of Hueneme continues to provide community support through a ‘Committed to Community’ focus that provides emergency food relief and other supplies to local farmworker and low-income communities. Through these efforts, over 40,000 families have been provided with direct assistance during the COVID-19 pandemic.
