THOUSAND OAKS—Godspeak Pastor Rob McCoy announced a coronavirus statewide prayer and fasting call starting at sundown Wednesday (April 1st) and continuing through sundown Friday (April 3rd) in an effort that is “catching ground” across the nation.
“How critical is the church? Are we unnecessary?” said Pastor Rob McCoy. “Do we contend for the culture? Do we remain silent? Is that our role?
In a separate announcement, Dr. Robin Evans, during Monday’s “Fireside Chat” announced an opportunity shared by Governor Galvin Newsom for medical professionals to volunteer in a new initiative called the California Health Corps.
“California is preparing for an increase in the number of people who urgently need health care in our communities during the COVID-19 outbreak. To meet this moment, we’re opening additional health care sites to treat people affected by COVID-19 and to relieve the pressure on our health care system by providing care for non-COVID-19 cases.
According to Dr. Evans, the new initiative is being sponsored by Mark Zuckerberg, Chief Executive Officer of Facebook, who has given $25 million for the effort which can be found at: Covid-19.ca.gov or by looking up California Health Corps.
