HBCA: Saturday Dec 4th 2021 Harbor Food & Toy Drive – Fisherman’s Wharf

The Harbor & Beach Community Alliance (HBCA) and the Channel Islands Harbor Department are teaming up again to spread holiday cheer and help those struggling during this challenging holiday season.  We are partnering in the SECOND Holiday Food & Toy Drive on Saturday, December 4, 2020 from 10am to 4pm at Fisherman’s Wharf.

The drive will include both food and toy donations
to double the spirit of the holidays.

We have a generous donor who will
match cash donations to FoodShare up to $10,000

This event is the perfect opportunity for the beach and harbor communities to step up and extend a hand to those in need this holiday season.

The Holiday Food & Toy Drive will benefit of Food Share of Ventura County
and the Spark of Love Toy Drive, an annual effort coordinated by local fire departments which provided toys to more than 6,000 children last year.

On the day of the event, donations can be safely dropped off at the Fisherman’s Wharf located on the southwest corner of the intersection of Victoria Avenue and Channel Islands Boulevard in Oxnard.

We need volunteers to promote in advance and the day of the event to accept the donations and control traffic during the event.

We will be accepting cash and check donations for FOOD SHARE
    Or Text WHARF to 41444

According to Food Share, the top five most needed food items are:

    canned tuna, chicken, and salmon

    cereal (non-sugar types)

    beans (dry and canned)

rice (in 1lb-2lb bags or mixes

    peanut butter

All non-perishable food items are welcome!

    Donate Toys
Please bring new, unwrapped toys and/or sports equipment which will “spark” happiness during the holidays.

About the Holiday Food & Toy Drive

We urge you to join us in generously sharing and donating whatever you are able to do. Many families and children across Ventura County have been impacted by the corona virus and rising prices.
We can help make this holiday a bit better for many families and children.

Please put this event on your calendar.
