KTLA and CNN Seem to be Shoving Their Favorites down our Throats

    By Naomi Fisher

    To Whom at KTLA:

Why did you avoid broadcasting Tulsi Gabbard’s Town Hall Meeting on Sunday, March 1, 2020 in Los Angeles? I called your tip line the preceding Thursday, I sent an email, others I know called your station to remind you she would be in town.

You promote your station as news – as in N-E-W-S. (That’s spelled out because you apparently forgot to spell, since you do not tell the news). I called the station on Sunday morning to remind you and got someone on the tip line, insisted I speak with the News Manager, that person tried to be helpful but could not get someone live to speak to me even though I was insisting you cover a PRESIDENTIAL CANDIDATE’S Town Hall Meeting in Los Angeles – OUR HOME TOWN ! The very town that gives your station the right to exist because we pay for your station to exist !A Presidential Candidate’s appearance certainly does qualify as a top news story, one that deserves coverage above and beyond all other stories except a National calamity.

Certainly you and CNN have covered the other “chosen” candidates. You, CNN and the DNC have to realize that you do NOT, as in N-O-T, (spelled out because you again forgot to spell) have the right to tell WE, THE PEOPLE who to vote for, who we can vote for and who is not desirable to vote for! It is bad enough we are no longer allowed access to other party information.

But now, you are denying us access to a Democratic, as in D-E-M-O-C-R-A-T-I- C, candidate. (Surely you forgot how to spell because she is a member of the party you so blatantly and shamelessly grovel to promote.)

She is a V-A-L-I-D  Democratic, Presidential Candidate. She deserves the same coverage and respect as the others. Her polls rate higher than the three “fair haired” favorites of CNN because CNN invited them and not Tulsi Gabbard. Oh, that’s spelled T-U-L-S-I  G-A-B-B-A-R-D in case you don’t recognize the name? She’s the one  CNN will not allow in debates or coverage in her Town hall meetings even though, I repeat, she is a Democratic Candidate!

Is the reason you don’t dare give coverage to her KTLA, because you are CNN’s lap dog? Do  you sit lolling your tongue, waiting until they acknowledge you and then roll over to have them scratch your belly and toss you a morsel? That’s what you appear to be – to me and my friends and so many other people.

I am so angry with you right now it is all I can do to keep from spitting on my computer monitor as I type this!!!

How lowly you have fallen! How disgusting your management! How badly you have ignored the meaning of N-E-W-S – that once lofty calling to whom Walter Cronkite, George Putnam, and so many other famous NEWS broadcasters dedicated their lives, so many foreign correspondents actually gave their lives, to keeping it worthy of We, The People’s need for knowledge.

I and all my friends will no longer watch your channel. Disgust is too tame a word for what we think of you right now. Pity. You used to be one of the greats! U-S-E-D  T-O   B-E….and it was my generation and our children’s generation who lobbied by writing and calling Congress to give CNN and the entire Cable News life back in the 80’s and now this is how CNN, and you, have degenerated into treating us the American People who gave CNN life – by not covering ALL Presidential Candidates. Maybe its time for CNN, KTLA 5 and all the others to lose their licenses and rights to broadcast.

    Sincerely Repulsed,

    Naomi Fisher

P.S. Amazingly, C-SPAN did cover Tulsi’s Town Hall Meeting in Michigan on Super Tuesday, March 3, 2020. But even in the middle of that she was silenced. She was answering a question on a sensitive subject when the TV screen went totally grey with the letters CNN up on the top left. The screen flickered a couple of times in a crude attempt to make it appear as a channel problem. I say crude attempt because when coverage goes out the screen always goes black and there are NO call letters anywhere.

Yes, CNN did allow coverage of the Michigan Town Hall. However, that token coverage was way too little and way too late!

P.S.P.S. copies sent to all of the above except CEO of CNN who it appears, remains anonymous on the Internet.

Because KTLA cares about one thing… H-O-L-L-Y-W-O-O-D.. Those moronic Hollywood reporters get more air time than the anchors do.

    Yah what she said.
Oh, btw…if CNN and KTLA 5 are not covering the local Town Halls which is Major local news coverage requirements. Then does this mean that CNN and KTLA 5 are paying people to rob stores to create news or hit and runs to create local news or child abductions to create news? I mean what is then truly considered news worthy for the local community? Because after all the job of KTLA 5 is to cover local news and if a presidential candidate is not considered local news then what is? Crime? Only Crime? Who provides local Town Hall coverage? CBS? NO. NBC? NO, ABC? NO. KTTV..not on Sundays because KTTV is geared down to two trucks and presidential candidates are just “not locally relevant”.
