Mayor Kildee delivers State of the City Address

Camarillo, California – Over 180 people gathered at Spanish Hills Country Club on Thursday September 5, 2019, to hear Camarillo Mayor Kevin Kildee present the State of the City and discuss all the ways that Camarillo is setting the table for future prosperity.

In his 40-minute presentation, Mayor Kildee spoke to this group of civic leaders, community partners, realtors, business professionals, school representatives, and community members. His speech covered a wide variety of topics, discussing the budget, current development in town, and describing the City’s forward facing approach to economic development. Mayor Kildee discussed planned capital improvement projects along with private construction projects, while praising the efforts of the City’s community partners and school districts in investing in the future of Camarillo’s youth.

The overall theme of the State of the City presentation is that Camarillo continues to move forward in a positive direction. The City is looking to the future and how they are positioning themselves, by continuing to offer a wide variety of programs and services to the community, and setting the table for Camarillo’s future prosperity by making Camarillo an even better place to work and play, and a wonderful place to live life.

A video presentation of the Mayor’s 2019 State of the City Address is now available for viewing on the City’s website (www.cityofcamarillo.org), along with the slide deck and budget handout from the event.
