The Meadowlark Service League will host their 22nd annual Charity Luncheon and Tennis or Pickleball Tournament on Monday, March 2. Around 200 women will attend this event. Some guests will start the morning off with a women’s doubles round-robin tournament in tennis or pickleball. Pickleball is new to our event and features the growing in popularity racquet sport that is becoming the rage in Ventura County. Over half of our guests will just come to lunch to enjoy some great girl time and shop starting at 10 am. Over 15+ vendors will be featured in the Boutique. An active opportunity drawing as well as a Live and Silent auction will be offered to guests with tempting items. Las Posas Country Club, Chef Aldo, will serve a delicious entre and a tasty dessert. This year’s theme is “Island Dreams…” We’ll have fun incorporating a tropical island flare to the day’s events.
This fundraiser is the final event of the year for Meadowlarks. This June we will distribute the funds raised from this event plus those from “A Taste of Camarillo” and “Homes for the Holidays” 2019. We anticipate over $220K will be awarded to selected local charities. Meadowlarks is proud to continue to support our community.
“A Taste of Camarillo” is our next key fundraiser. It will be held the last weekend of July with the Wine, Brew & Food Festival on July 26th and the Wine Auction Gala on July 25th.
