New Life Pastor Steve Abraham: Essential Business–’Hold on to God’s Word’

    By Michael Hernandez

OXNARD—”Happy Father’s Day. I honor you today. We need some godly God fearing men,” said New Life Pastor Steve Abraham in his Father’s Day message entitled: Essential Business–Hold on to God’s Word. “It begins with the men of God leading families in the Word of God.”

How do we “hold on to God’s Word?”

    1. Make it the foundation of my life.

–Not building life on pop culture.

–Not building life based on tradition.

“You have let go of the commands of God and are holding on to human traditions.” (Mark 7:8)

–Not building life based on feelings.

–Not (building) life based on reason.

    1. Make it the priority of my life.

–Listen to the word of God.

    –Read the word of God

“Until I come, devote yourself to the public reading of Scripture…” (1 Timothy 4:13).

    Do the word of God.

    1. Make it a weapon for the challenges of Life.

“What is our plan for tomorrow? Where? When? Get into the bible and let the bible get into you. We need to teach our kids. They are living in a biblical illiterate culture.”

“You sanctify us by your truth. Your word is truth,” said Pastor Steve Abraham. “In this culture there are so many lies, so much deception. Your word is true. We make it a priority–a foundation of our life as a weapon going forth.”
