Ojai Valley Community Hospital Leader Serves an Honorary Chair for Walk to End Alzheimer’s on Sept. 28

Alzheimer’s disease is a growing epidemic affecting more than 5.8 million Americans today and as many as 16 million by 2050. To raise funds and awareness and unite in a movement to reclaim the future for millions, the Alzheimer’s Association invites the local community to join the 2019 Oxnard Walk to End Alzheimer’s on Saturday, Sept. 28 at 8 a.m. at The Collection at RiverPark.

Serving as the Walk’s Honorary Chair this year is Haady Lashkari, Chief Administrative Officer at Ojai Valley Community Hospital and a vice president with Community Memorial Health System.

“There has never been a greater need for the citizens of Ventura County to come together and join in the fight against Alzheimer’s disease by participating in the Walk to End Alzheimer’s,” Lashkari said. “Funds raised at the Walk will help provide care and support services to those touched by this disease while also contributing to advancing critically-needed research,” he said.

Lashkari, a Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives, graduated from the University of California, Santa Barbara, with degrees in Sociology and Communications and has a Master’s degree in Public Administration from California State University Northridge. He joined the Community Memorial Hospital staff in 2001 and joined the staff at Ojai Valley Community Hospital in January 2011 as the Chief Administrative Officer and a vice president with Community Memorial Health System. Lashkari, a father of three, is married to wife Anita and they moved to the Ojai Valley in 2012.

The Alzheimer’s Association Walk to End Alzheimer’s is the world’s largest event to raise awareness and funds for Alzheimer’s care, support, and research. The Alzheimer’s Association is the world’s leading voluntary health organization in Alzheimer’s care, support and research. The California Central Coast Chapter provides services in Ventura, Santa Barbara and San Luis Obispo counties.
