VENTURA, SANTA PAULA– The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) announced planned closures on State Route 126 (SR-126) in the cities of Ventura and Santa Paula.
From Monday, August 5 to Friday, August 9, the following planned closures of SR-126 are scheduled between 7 p.m. to 6 a.m.:
Eastbound:
- One lane from US 101 to Hallock Dr.
- Main St. on and off-ramp
- Tenth Street on-ramp
Westbound
- One lane from Hallock Dr. to US 101
- Tenth St. on-ramp
- Peck Rd. off-ramp
- Briggs Rd. off-ramp
- Kimball Rd. on-ramp
Closures may start and end later. All closures are weather permitting and subject to change. No two consecutive on and off-ramps will be closed at the same time.
Motorists should expect delays and are strongly advised to use alternate routes or avoid the area. Additionally, motorists can check traffic conditions before they leave by visiting the Caltrans Quickmap.
The closures are part a road paving project on SR-126 that stretches from US-101 to Haun Creek. C.A. Rasmussen Inc. is the contractor.
Caltrans reminds drivers to be “Work Zone Alert” and to “Slow for the Cone Zone.”
