Librado Ruiz Rojo (DOB 1/23/01), of Oxnard, was charged with the murder of Carlos Alberto Murillo, of Port Hueneme, which occurred on January 26, 2020. The complaint charges one count of murder and a special allegation that Rojo personally used a knife during the commission of the crime.
In the early morning hours of January 26, 2020, at approximately 12:37 a.m., Oxnard Police Department officers were dispatched to the 3000 block of Sycamore Street in the City of Oxnard. Upon arrival, officers found Mr. Murillo, who had been stabbed numerous times and was pronounced deceased at the scene.
Rojo appeared in court on February 4, 2020. The arraignment was continued to March 6, 2020, at 9:00 a.m. in courtroom 12 of the Ventura County Superior Court. Rojo is currently in custody with bail set at $500,000.
