Oxnard Police Department – Incident Press Release
On August 28, 2020, at approximately 11:34 a.m., the Oxnard Drug Enforcement Unit (DEU) was conducting an investigation in 1200 block of S. Oxnard Blvd. During the investigation, officers observed Elizabeth Fine, 25 year old Oxnard resident, seated in the driver’s seat of a vehicle. Detectives had prior knowledge that Fine had an outstanding felony warrant for robbery and an outstanding felony warrant for Auto Theft. Patrol Officers responded to the scene and contacted Fine. Fine was placed under arrest for her felony warrants. During a search of her purse, detectives located Methamphetamine, Fentanyl, Heroin, Xanax, and Cocaine in a quantity consistent of street level drug sales. Fine was additionally charged with three separate counts of possession for sales for the different drugs, all felonies.
During the investigation, Fine attempted to provide a different name and provided officers with a California identification belonging to that person. Officers contacted the owner of the California identification and learned that she was a victim of a theft in July of this year. Additionally, detectives learned that Fine was arrested yesterday and used the victims’ information during the arrest. Fine was additionally charged with false impersonation of another person, a felony.
