    Oxnard Suspects arrested for Firearms Violations

    On April 23, 2020, detectives from the Ventura County Sheriff’s Office Special Crimes Unit and the Oxnard Police Department Special Enforcement Unit arrested Aquilino Figueroa and Johnny Figueroa out of Oxnard for charges related to possession of firearms.

    During the month of April 2020, detectives followed up on information indicating Aquilino and Johnny were in possession of an illegal firearm. Detectives gathered enough information to obtain a search warrant for a residence in the 500 Block of North McKinley Street in Oxnard. Detectives also determined Aquilino and Johnny were both members of a local criminal street gang who were on Post-Released Offender Supervision (PROS-AB-109).

    On April 23, 2020, the search warrant was conducted at a residence in the 500 Block North McKinley Street, Oxnard. During the search warrant serves, two firearms were thrown from the residence through a bedroom window. Two 9mm semi-automatic handguns were recovered. The magazines for both handguns contained ammunition. Both firearms were unregistered.

    Based on the investigation, Johnny was arrested for firearm charges. Both Aquilino and Johnny had PROS holds placed on them and were booked at the Pre-Trial Detention Facility.
