At 9:55 am, my wife and I parked our truck just West of Yosemite Avenue. As we sat there and wondered how long the line was as we could not see the end of the line going West on L.A Avenue; as we were taking photographs and conversing with the neighbors in the cars a police helicopter that had been circling above us swooped down to a very low height with the siren on and flew about 1/4 mile at that height, was awesome to see.
.
About 10:55 they opened up traffic and we started moving we were finally going through Yosemite Avenue. While waiting in our line, a woman walking her dog said its been a sight to see how Simi Valley is turning out to pay their respect and earlier they had motorcycles and camera crew by the parents house and his mom stood outside for at least 45 mins. with her hand over her heart. From there people were hanging there flag over there brick wall.Â
.
Turning onto Katherine, to the left there were retired Marines and once we turned onto Katherine, the neighbors were out and their homes were decorated to salute this Hero. It was a tremendous sight to see and we felt honored to be a part of this parade.  To see so many cars and people with flags paying their respect to this family was really touching. Once we drove passed and were leaving their were still cars lined up on LA Avenue to drive by and pay their respects.
.
Sincerely,
Butch and Marlene Walsh
