Apartment Association of Greater Los Angeles (AAGLA) Executive Director Daniel Yukelson issued the following statement today in support of Senate Bill 902, which is sponsored by State Senator Scott Wiener and designed to increase the supply of affordable housing in California:

“SB 902 is a common-sense way to address the affordable housing crisis. For too long, public policy has restricted developers and overregulated existing owners to produce an overall chilling effect on the creation of new housing. SB 902 lifts some of the barriers to new apartment construction and would represent a small step in reversing the massive affordable housing shortage that exists across the state. Apartment owners hope other advocates for affordable housing will join us in supporting this legislation.”
