The Road to Tyranny by Don Jans

REVIVE COMMUNITY CHURCH | Serving our Community – Monday May 4th, 2020 – El Rio

On Monday May 4th, our church served well over 250 families as we gave away an estimated 200 grocery bags, over 150 bags of clothes, dozens of pairs of shoes, and tons of toys. Our community was truly served, and it was such a humbling experience being able to bless those in need and less fortunate.

In addition to these resources, we were able to connect with individuals and families on a personal level and also provide information on our church and the support we offer. Our ministerial staff also provided a prayer tent for those individuals and families who had prayer requests or urgent needs.

And considering that this month is mental awareness month, we offered a variety of promotional materials and gifts to promote mental health in partnership with a remarkable organization called “Sana Mente” every mind matters directed by Emily Blender.

We could not have made this event possible without the support and continuous donations from Food Share, Friends of Field Workers, and many agencies, organizations, and individuals that contributed to our efforts. THANK YOU!!

Our church will host these community relief events every 1st Monday of each month from 10:00am to 2:00pm.

If you know of a family or individual that can truly benefit from this blessing, please share this information and details with them. If you or your organization would like to help with in-kind donations or monetary support, please feel free to reach out to me or our church office.

Full measures of prevention, safety, and security were enforced and followed. Masks or any other form of face covering was required, and physical distancing was enforced. Please rest assured that our staff and volunteers took all necessary precautions at this event.

If you or your organization is interested in partnering up with us, please do not hesitate to contact me.

Below please find attached photographs of our event for your viewing pleasure.

Thank you, be safe, and be blessed
