LOS ANGELES – Talk show host and BOND Founder and President Rev. Jesse Lee Peterson released the following statement regarding the death of George Floyd and the riots that have damaged more than 30 Democrat-led cities across the U.S. The following is Rev. Peterson’s statement:

“George Floyd deserves justice, and President Donald Trump did the right thing by dispatching the FBI and DOJ to investigate the case. Derek Chauvin has been fired by the Minnesota Police Department and charged with murder. Chauvin will have his day in court, and other officers may also face charges. The justice system is working, but people have to allow the process to finish.

“The riots and looting have nothing to do with justice for George Floyd. For decades, phony black ‘civil-rights leaders’ have been encouraging angry blacks to take the riots and looting to affluent white neighborhoods, now, Black Lives Matter, ANTIFA, and their radical leftist allies are doing just that.

“The riots are an organized attack on white-owned businesses and capitalism by thugs who hate America and President Trump. There is nothing more that white Americans can do to prove that they are not ‘racist.’ The problem is with black people, not whites. Blacks don’t need more programs or reparations. They need to examine their hearts and repent of their anger and hatred. They need to forgive.

“In Minneapolis, Los Angeles, Washington D.C., New York City, Philadelphia and other cities, we’ve seen people using the protests as cover to loot. ANTIFA terrorists and other radicals with ill intentions have been seen passing out bricks, inciting riots, setting fires and attacking police and firefighters. If there are sincere protestors at these events, they need to publicly condemn the rioters and looters and work with law enforcement to identify the perpetrators so they can be brought to justice.

“Weak Democrat mayors and police chiefs have tied the hands of police and they’re preventing them from doing their job. This is emboldening rioters and looters. Where are the so-called ‘black leaders’ and liberal politicians calling for law and order in the midst of this crisis?

“It’s interesting that Democrat mayors and governors were shutting down businesses and restricting our freedoms for months because of COVID-19, yet they allow Black Lives Matter and ANTIFA to gather, loot, and riot by the thousands without laying a hand on these thugs. It’s time to stop playing politics with black lives and stop the madness now!”

One Response to Riots Have Nothing to Do with Justice for George Floyd – It’s Time to Stop the Madness

It is shameful and beyond anything even remotely honest what this whole madness in the name of George Floyd is doing to this country and its society. I am watching right now the funeral #3 and Al Sharpton getting on his favorite horse of “plantations and slaves” and I realize with all possible clarity that there is NEVER going to be enough. NEVER! Humiliated democrats on their knees for 9 minutes? Not enough. Reparation bill, even if it gives a million dollar voucher to each African American citizen? Not enough. All Whites get on their knees and stay on them for the rest of their lives? Not enough. What a distorted, strange and unattractive country we are today.
