Presented by Jacquelyn Nunez, the assistant to City Manager Dan Singer, the website is intuitive, multi-lingual and features user event notification. A citizen can create an account and then ask to be notified when certain events occur.

Note that the entire content from the existing site has not been transferred. This is a work-in-process. The video and minutes are still hosted on a service site iqm2

The search which had not worked on the old site since 2012 now works and will find content on spcity.org but not on the old site, for which Google must be used. For example, entering “planning commission” in the search bar on the new site yields 57 pages of content.

The Ad Hoc Council committee consisted of Council members Crosswhite and Sobel working closely with former Assistant City Manager Ikani Taumaupeau who left for the position of CIty Manager at Clayton.
