SB673 K-6 SeXXX Ed Related Bill. Parental Rights. Let Your Voice be HEARD!

SB673 K-6 SeXXX Ed Related Bill. Parental Rights. Let Your Voice be HEARD. January 15th it is being heard in the Senate Education Committee Hearing @ 9AM.

THESE ARE THE FOUR IMPORTANT POINTS:

#1) Requirements of this bill ONLY applies to K-6th grade elementary-age students.
#2) Ask district to place curriculum on-line (just like our district did) for ease of parent review.
#3) Ask that district obtain a parent signature for instruction to begin.
#4) Requires that the Healthy Youth Act change ONE WORD in the current law. That word? “Maybe” to “Shall be” Age appropriate for elementary age students and “Shall be” medically accurate.

Currently, the law allows for age inappropriate and medically inaccurate information for elementary age students, but not for 7th grade and above. Mistake? Hm? No body knows.
