    THE CITY OF PORT HUENEME MARKS ITS 75TH ANNIVERSARY WITH PARADE AND STREET FAIR

    News Release

    On Saturday, March 25, 2023, The City of Port Hueneme is throwing its 75th anniversary
    celebration in coordination with local nonprofit REACH. The festivities begin with a
    parade sponsored by the Port of Hueneme along Surfside Drive starting at 10:00 a.m.

    There is no cost to enter the parade, and it will be judged by Mayor Bobby Martinez,
    Port Hueneme Harbor Commissioner Jess Herrera, Naval Base Ventura County
    Command Master Chief Will Kumley and Emcee Port of Hueneme Harbor Commissioner
    Celina Zacarias.

    Some of the parade entries include; Ventura County Sheriff’s Office
    Mounted Unit, Port Hueneme Unified School District, Ventura County Fire, Pizza Man
    Dan, the Boys and Girls Club just to name a few.

    The festivities will continue with a street fair at Hueneme Beach from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.
    where visitors can enjoy live music with mix of cultural performances and bands
    headlined by Twisted Gypsy.

    For those looking for some great food and drink, several food and dessert trucks, and a
    beer garden sponsored by Pacific Beverage will be on site.

    There will also be local and unique item shopping from vendors, a car show, and a Kid
    Zone sponsored by Premier America Bank.

    The Kid Zone will have inflatable obstacle courses, face painting and fun games for the kids all at no charge. The City will also have a popup museum onsite showcasing some of Port Hueneme’s most historically significant items.

    Special Note: The City of Port Hueneme will be commemorating its 75th anniversary
    with a special pictorial postmark.

    The United States Post Office (USPS) is joining with the
    City of Port Hueneme to offer a unique pictorial postmark that will be offered on March
    24, 2023, the official anniversary date of the City’s incorporation.

    The Postal Service will set up a temporary retail station that will be located in the entrance to the Port Hueneme City Hall, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. or by mail order if you are unable to attend in person.
