Synopsis of Incident
On Monday, January 3rd, 2022, at approximately 11:02am, a Santa Paula Police officer was making a southbound turn onto 10th Street from Main Street when the officer’s patrol vehicle struck a 37-year-old female pedestrian crossing the roadway. The pedestrian was treated by the Ventura County Fire Department and transported to a local hospital for injuries the paramedics described to be “minor”. The collision is being investigated by the California Highway Patrol pursuant to established protocol.
