    VC Naval Command 3D Prints Face Masks for USNS Mercy & First Responders

    Ventura County based Naval Command NAVFAC EXWC, has developed and disseminated face mask kits approved by the Federal Drug Administration for
    frontline workers protecting military personnel at various affiliate commands.

    These face mask kits are printed using 3D additive manufacturing capabilities utilized by military and civilian government personnel. NAVFAC  EXWC is leading the effort to prepare and print the face mask kits in bulk, with the capacity to print up to 1,000 face mask kits per day. 250 face mask kits have already been delivered to local Navy commands in dire need of personal protective equipment. In the coming days, face mask kits will be delivered to USNS Mercy, currently moored at the Port of Los Angeles.
