Vehicles Impounded for Reckless Driving in Oxnard | 01/26/23

    NEWS RELEASE

During the month of January, officers from the Oxnard Police Department Traffic Unit conducted numerous investigations of vehicles involved in reckless driving on our city streets. The investigations resulted in three vehicles being impounded and one driver arrested for reckless driving. These vehicles were observed conducting burnouts, donuts, and other dangerous behavior that vandalized Oxnard’s roadways and put others’ lives and property at risk.

Vehicles determined to be involved in reckless driving could face a 30-day impound or more. Drivers of these vehicles not only face criminal charges but also license suspensions from the Department of Motor Vehicles. The Oxnard Police Department is committed to ensuring traffic safety on our roadways and will continue the zero-tolerance enforcement efforts in an attempt to curb this type of dangerous behavior.
